Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat invites applicants for a 8-week, 40-hour week Summer Internship with the Columbia Strategic Construction Program Office in Groton, CT. You will support program management tasks across contracts, scheduling, planning, and material readiness while collaborating with engineering, purchasing, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• US citizenship is required.
• Must pass medical screening and background check.
• Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university.
• At minimum students must have completed their Freshman year prior to the start of the internship.
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week for a minimum eight (8) consecutive weeks between May 2027 to September 2027.
• Selected candidates must arrange housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship.
• Pursuing a Bachelor or Masters of Science Degree in Construction, Manufacturing, Engineering Management, Naval Architecture or any Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Nuclear Engineering), Industrial Engineering
