Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat invites motivated students to join the COLUMBIA Construction Program Office Summer Internship in Groton, CT. You will engage with cross-functional teams, work on program execution, and contribute to shipbuilding excellence for the Navy's Columbia program.

You will gain exposure to planning, scheduling, contracts, and design change processes, while developing leadership and teamwork skills under senior mentorship through a structured internship.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university and be 18 years or older.
• US citizenship required; must pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for 8 consecutive weeks between May 2027 and September 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist in program management tasks across Columb ia Construction Program Office.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, contracts, purchasing, operations and ships management.
• Contribute to solving program issues with short- and long-term perspectives.
• Develop leadership and teamwork skills under senior mentorship.
