Job summary

Prince Contracting in Augusta, GA is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead district and project sourcing, negotiate terms with vendors and subcontractors, and optimize procurement processes to maximize value.

This full-time role supports an Advanced Technology project including data center market segments; requires 5+ years in construction procurement, strong contract knowledge, and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in construction procurement required.
• Skilled in contract negotiations and legal terminology.
• Extensive knowledge of the construction industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with general database knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversees procurement activities within the district and on projects.
• Negotiates commercial terms with material vendors and subcontractors with input from legal and senior management.
• Manages qualification and evaluation for vendors, subcontractors, and service providers.
• Communicates and enforces procurement policies to district and project teams.
• Oversees development and review of procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.
• Maintains records of goods ordered/received; oversees Accounts Payable reconciliation.
• Monitors and oversees execution of the purchasing buyout.
• Prepares reports and correspondence as needed.
• Facilitate RFPs and collaborate with preconstruction team on new opportunities and current projects.
