Job summary

Scorpio is seeking a Controller to lead financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decisions as we scale. You will oversee job costing, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting while partnering closely with project managers and executives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business, 10+ years of accounting with 3+ years in construction, and experience with revenues of $200M+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction.
• Experience working with revenues of $200 million or more.
• Strong understanding of construction job costing, WIP reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, and labor rates.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations and strengthen internal controls across the organization.
• Oversee job costing, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and reporting.
• Provide financial leadership and partner with project managers and executives.
• Refine internal control frameworks and manage invoices and data accuracy.
• Ensure timely, accurate project schedules, regional projections and milestones.
• Monitor balance sheet accounts and drive corrective actions when needed.
• Establish AR quality standards, collections and minimize unbilled costs.
• Ensure timely time reporting for precise forecasting and labor allocations.
