Job summary

Moss, a national construction firm, is seeking a Claims Manager in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role directs the operations of property and liability claims, coordinating with internal teams, brokers, and counsel to manage worker’s comp, GL, and other coverages.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of P&C claims experience with construction defect exposure. The position reports to the Senior Director, Claims and offers full-time employment with opportunities for professional growth within Moss’ Risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5–10 years of Property & Casualty claims experience preferred.
• Construction defect experience required.
• Strong knowledge of policy language and multi-line coverage.
• Excellent organizational and management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all property and liability claims across provided coverages.
• Lead the Risk Management Claims team and provide development support.
• Review incident reports and determine action plans with project teams.
• Initiate investigations and inspect losses as needed.
• Coordinate with brokers/adjusters and report status to leadership.
• Ensure timely distribution and management of claims information to stakeholders.
• Engage insurer and defense counsel to resolve coverage disputes.
• Travel for claims meetings, investigations, and mediations as required.
• Support subrogation efforts and secure recoveries where possible.
• Provide claims training and develop procedures for teams.
