Job summary

Moss is a national construction firm seeking a Chief Preconstruction Manager in Tampa, FL to lead GMP turnover and align client expectations with project budgets. You will guide the Preconstruction team through design development, responsible for cost estimation, risk management, and collaboration with Owners, A/E teams, and Operations.

This role requires proven ability to manage multiple large projects and deliver comprehensive budgets.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Preconstruction.
• Ability to self-manage with little direction.
• Knowledge of constructability and cost-saving opportunities.
• Proven track record managing multiple projects.
• Excellent sales and presentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of local and national trade contractors.
• Ability to coordinate estimators and bid teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Design Build Project from concept to final contract award.
• Fill gaps from drawings and design documents (All Trades).
• Review detailed estimates on multiple projects.
• Write RFIs for submittals to Architects & Engineers (by Trade).
• Develop bid tabs to ensure accurate scope.
• Communicate client expectations to Precon team.
• Develop qualifications and assumptions from bid tabs.
• Provide cost savings suggestions by trade.
• Coordinate with Operations on site logistics.
• Present to Owners & A/E teams on design & pricing.
