BCI Construction Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager in Minnesota to identify and create opportunities in the commercial construction sector.

You will collaborate with leadership to drive long-term growth and sustain a steady flow of projects through strong client networks. The role emphasizes relationship building with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, plus CRM-driven pipeline management and market monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or project management within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction delivery methods (Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑Build, CMAR, etc.).
• Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals.
• Established network within the commercial construction industry preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial construction sector.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Track and manage leads, prospects, and opportunities through a CRM system.
• Lead client outreach efforts including meetings, presentations, and networking events.
• Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to develop competitive proposals and presentations.
• Participate in preconstruction planning and strategy discussions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming project opportunities.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings.
• Support brand awareness and marketing initiatives, including content and campaign input.
• Maintain a pipeline sufficient to meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
