Job summary

Chartis Federal, a premier systems engineering and integration firm, seeks a Congressional Affairs Analyst to support the SGS with congressional correspondence, legislative tracking, and staff-action tasking. The role involves drafting responses to RFIs, tracking legislation, and ensuring compliant outgoing correspondence for senior leadership review.

The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills and the ability to synthesize complex legislative information.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in congressional correspondence or staff-action in a DoD/federal environment.
  • Strong research and writing with timely, well-formatted responses.
  • AR 25-50/ARNG 25-52 familiarity is a plus.
  • Active SECRET clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and track taskers in ETS/TMT via CATMS and HQDA ETS; determine OPR, staffing requirements, and suspense dates.
  • Draft and recommend responses to RFIs, Report Requirements, and letters; distribute RFIs and set suspense dates.
  • Prepare materials for Director/Deputy Director, Army National Guard testimony and correspondence.
  • Track, summarize Congressional legislation, hearings, and audits to inform senior leader decisions.
  • Review and edit outgoing correspondence for compliance with HQDA/ARNG formats and standards.
  • Provide procedural guidance on staffing actions and host weekly Workflow Manager meetings.
  • Consolidate weekly situation reports and distribute to division Action Officers.
