Job summary

Strategic Ventures Consulting Group (SVCG), LLC is recruiting a Legislative Affairs Specialist to join our Ft. Meade, MD team. The ideal candidate will review transcripts, prepare QFRs/IFRs, and brief leadership on legislative matters.

Required qualifications include TS/SCI with polygraph, a Bachelor's in Political Science or related field, and 10+ years of congressional or legislative affairs experience with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze congressional hearing transcripts and prepare QFRs and IFRs.
• Research and write background papers, talking points, and written and oral statements, including legislative briefings to leadership.
• Prepare USCYBERCOM leadership for testifying to Congress and meetings with Members of Congress and Committee staff.
• Exhibit in-depth understanding of legislative and regulatory documents and processes.

The most qualified candidate will:

• Review and analyze congressional hearing transcripts and prepare/submit Questions for the Record (QFR) and Inserts for the Record (IFR)
• Research and write background papers, talking points, and written and oral statements, to include providing legislative briefings to leadership
• Prepare USCYBERCOM leadership for testifying to Congress and meeting with members of Congress and with pertinent Congressional Committee Staff Members
• Exhibit in-depth understanding of legislative and regulatory documents and an in-depth knowledge of the legislative and regulatory process

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI Polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree in Political Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of experience providing congressional or legislative affairs support, and or department-level planning/ execution support
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communications skills
