The New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the university-wide compliance program, reporting to the General Counsel, ensuring adherence to FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, HIPAA, ADA, NCAA. The CCO provides leadership in development, implementation, and oversight of compliance initiatives, fostering a culture of ethics and risk awareness across the university.

With 8–10 years in legal or regulatory roles and a JD or equivalent, the CCO will guide investigations,

Competenze

Education: JD or advanced degree in law, compliance, public policy or related field.
Experience: 8–10 years in legal, compliance or regulatory roles, preferably in higher education or public sector.
Preferred: experience in a university general counsel’s office or comparable environment.

Mansioni

Develop, implement, and maintain a risk-based university compliance program.
Lead compliance efforts across academic, administrative, and research units.
Monitor and report on program effectiveness to senior leadership and committees.
Ensure compliance with FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, HIPAA, ADA, NCAA; manage risk.
Oversee investigations into alleged non-compliance and prepare reports for Board.
Lead policy development and keep training aligned with regulatory changes.
Collaborate with external agencies on audits and provide guidance to leadership.
