Job summary

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services is seeking a full-time Compliance and Enforcement Manager in Richmond, Virginia. This role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Division’s compliance, investigations, adjudication, and criminal history programs, ensuring activities are conducted fairly and in accordance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing compliance, enforcement, investigations, or regulatory programs.
• Experience supervising professional staff and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of administrative investigations, regulatory compliance principles, due process and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee compliance, investigations, adjudication, and criminal history programs.
• Establish performance expectations, priorities, quality controls, and accountability.
• Oversee high-risk investigations with legal and public safety implications.
• Ensure timely, accurate, defensible investigations and determinations.
• Monitor trends and data to identify risks and improve processes.
• Lead change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
