Job summary

ArtHaus Properties is building the compliance backbone for a growing multifamily portfolio in Oakland and Berkeley. You will own the systems that prevent costly audit findings, manage regulatory and insurance compliance, and keep licensing and filings current.

You will report to the Director of Property Management, collaborating with Property Managers, Leasing, Finance, Legal, and Asset Management to scale from 2,500 to 3,500–4,000 units in 18–24 months.

Qualifications

• Four or more years in multifamily property management, compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs.
• Familiarity with California rental law, eviction procedures, and Fair Housing.
• Strong systems and organizational skills; detail-driven and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Own subsidy and regulatory compliance across LIHTC, Section 8, and affordable housing programs.
• Maintain master compliance calendars, audits, and documentation; ensure audit-ready files.
• Manage leasing and application compliance, with defensible screening and lease decisions.
• Oversee eviction oversight and Fair Housing reviews; coordinate with Legal and Asset Management.
