AAM Living seeks a Multifamily Property Compliance Associate to support compliance-driven decision-making across its Texas portfolio. The role focuses on recertifications, audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance across LIHTC, HOME, and Section 8 programs while coordinating with third-party processors.

The candidate will review data in Entrata/Yardi/Rent Café, prepare income certifications, train site teams, and assist with reporting and lease-up activities as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree preferred.
• At least 2 years in affordable housing compliance including LIHTC, bonds, HOME, Section 8, and local programs.
• Experience with property management software; Entrata preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track all annual recertifications at least 30 days before the effective date.
• Audit move-in and annual recertification packets for funding regulations.
• Review compliance data in Entrata/Yardi/Rent Cafe and generate income certifications for signature.
• Verify signatures for move-in and annual recertifications.
• Audit digital resident files for completeness ahead of 3rd party audits.
• Maintain positive relationships with compliance and property management teams.
• Prepare monthly/annual compliance reports for Directors.
• Assist with lease-up activities and trainings for site staff.
• Coordinate with 3rd party compliance processors.
• Assist with monthly and annual owner reporting.
• Travel to properties as needed for lease-ups and training.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Multifamily Property Compliance Associate to support compliance-based decision-making and operational performance across AAM's property management portfolio.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Track all annual recertifications to ensure each file is completed at least 30-days prior to the effective date.
• Audit move-in and annual recertification packets to ensure each file qualifies under all funding regulations.
• Accurately review compliance information in ENTRATA/Yardi/Rent Cafe, generate tenant income certification for Property Manager to obtain signature(s).
• Verify all adult applicant/resident signatures are obtained on the day of move in or prior to the effective date for an annual recertification.
• Audit each digital resident file in accordance with Advanced Asset Management's policiesto ensure each applicant/resident file is complete and ready for a 3rd party audit.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with compliance team and property management to promote a positive image for the development, housing programs, and AAM.
• Prepares various compliance reports to present to the Director of Compliance / Director of Operations.
• Assist with lease-up activities of new sites, which may include attending meetings, providing staffing support, assisting with processing files, and organization of new resident files.
• Assist with training of site property management and/or affordable housing leasing staff.
• Direct correspondence with 3rd party compliance processors.
• Assist with completing monthly and annual year-end owner reporting requirements.
• Travel as needed to properties in state and out of state to assist site teams with lease ups, and training compliance.

EDUCATION/EXPIERENCE:

• BS/BA preferred
• 2+ years of Affordable housing compliance experience required including LIHTC, BONDS, HOME, Section 8and local city affordable housing program requirements.
• Property Management software experience required (Entrata experience preferred).
