Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is actively seeking a Compensation Analyst at our Cleveland, OH headquarters to design, administer, and deliver compensation programs including base pay, incentives, and select executive elements. You’ll partner with HR and business leaders to benchmark roles, ensure internal equity, and support equity transactions.

The role emphasizes data analysis, job evaluation, and participation in annual planning, with strong customer service and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years in Compensation Administration.
• Experience with job evaluation, market pricing, and annual planning.
• Advanced Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of FLSA and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and administer compensation programs including base pay, incentives, and select executive elements.
• Develop and deliver compensation recommendations, including job evaluations and market comparisons.
• Provide data-driven guidance and responsive support to HR and leaders.
• Participate in compensation surveys end-to-end: job matching, data submission, benchmarking analysis.
• Maintain equity tracking systems and support equity program administration.
• Support annual compensation planning, merit, bonus, and equity processes.
• Assist with executive and equity compensation administration and reporting.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and Payroll to align processes.
• Identify system enhancements for compensation/equity administration.
• Contribute to special projects like pay equity analyses.
