Job summary

Hayes Company/Knight Swift Warehousing and Fulfillment seeks a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to support the design, administration, analysis, and communication of compensation and benefits programs across Hayes Company and Knight-Swift Supply Chain.

This role partners with HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance and leaders to ensure programs are competitive, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with the organization's talent strategy, with emphasis on benchmarking, salary structure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 3-5 years in compensation/benefits/HR analytics.
• Experience with compensation surveys, market pricing, and salary structure analysis.
• Experience administering benefits with carriers and vendors.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Certifications preferred: CCP/CEBS/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market pricing and compensation benchmarking using survey tools and market data.
• Prepare salary recommendations for hires, promotions, transfers, and market adjustments.
• Analyze internal equity, compa-ratios, range penetration, and pay compression issues.
• Assist with annual compensation planning, merit increases, bonus programs, and salary budgeting.
• Analyze compensation trends and prepare leadership recommendations.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to offer compensation guidance on offers and hiring.
• Maintain compensation data in HRIS and compensation systems.
• Conduct job evaluations and assign levels, determine FLSA exemptions.
• Support salary structure development across exempt/hourly populations.
• Perform wage analysis for hourly/shift roles and local market comparisons.
• Support geographic differential analysis for new locations.
• Assist pay equity analyses and remediation findings.
• Monitor pay transparency compliance and state reporting obligations.
