Peregrine Technologies is seeking a Compensation Lead in San Francisco to architect and run programs for base, bonus, equity, and analytics as the company scales beyond 1,500 employees. You will partner with Talent Acquisition, People, Finance, and leadership to shape pay, leveling, and rewards.

You'll build the philosophy, architecture, and cycles end-to-end, delivering tools for managers and recruiters and surfacing market data to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness throughout

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation with direct ownership of strategy, architecture and program design.
• Deep expertise in equity compensation and market benchmarking for high-growth environments.
• Strong command of HR and compensation systems and data, with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Scale Peregrine's compensation philosophy and framework to support growth from 500 to 1,500+ employees.
• Design and implement job catalogs, families, career tracks, and leveling criteria with market-backed bands.
• Run merit and compensation review cycles end-to-end, including guidelines, approvals, and communications.
• Provide tools and guidance to recruiters and managers for offer-setting and escalations.
• Develop analytics and dashboards to monitor competitiveness, equity, and cost controls.
• Evolve equity programs for new hires, promotions, and refresh grants in a scalable way.
• Support executive and board-level compensation with market-informed analyses.
