Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Compensation Analyst to help develop, implement, and administer base pay and variable pay programs aligned with the company’s reward strategy. The role involves job analysis, salary structure design, and budgeting support across the organization.

Key responsibilities include data analysis, merit and incentive program administration, benchmarking with MarketPay/ERI, and preparing compensation reports. Strong MS Excel and HRIS experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of compensation principles and processes.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; CCP Certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in compensation with data analysis and job evaluation.
• Experience with market pricing software (MarketPay or Payscale).
• Experience with annual merit cycles and incentive programs.
• Experience with HRIS and compensation data maintenance.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze compensation, job, and data to guide management and HR partners.
• Administer annual merit and pay-for-performance programs; draft communications.
• Administer annual short-term incentive programs; harmonization recommendations.
• Ensure data integrity in benchmarking apps like MarketPay and ERI; drive automation.
• Lead participation in third-party compensation surveys.
• Analyze internal/external compensation trends to ensure competitiveness.
• Prepare budget impact analyses for salary programs.
• Maintain company job descriptions; coach on job description development.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc compensation reports and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support Benefits projects (e.g., Open Enrollment) and other special projects.
