Job summary

Centene Corp. is seeking a Manager of Community Relations to lead field-based outreach across Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester. The role oversees frontline staff and partners with community organizations, providers and local leaders to strengthen trust and health plan visibility.

You will travel regularly, coach and develop staff, monitor KPIs, align activities with business priorities, and ensure regulatory compliance. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in related fields are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of community relations, outreach, marketing, sales, public health, provider engagement, or managed care experience.
• Experience leading field-based teams or direct reports.
• Experience building relationships with community-based organizations and stakeholders.
• Experience with public speaking, community presentations, and use of data to monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage community relations activities and lead frontline staff across multiple cities with regular travel.
• Develop and execute community engagement strategies with community organizations, providers, schools, and local leaders.
• Build strategic partnerships to support member growth, retention, and education.
• Oversee events, sponsorships, and local outreach initiatives; coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Provider Relations.
• Monitor market needs, trends, and partnership opportunities; review outcomes and improve performance.
