Job summary

Centene is seeking a Manager of Community Relations to lead frontline staff across Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester, with regular travel. You will develop engagement strategies, build partnerships with providers, community organizations, and local leaders, and align outreach with regulatory and organizational standards.

The role collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Provider Relations, Quality and Retention teams to drive member growth and improve access to health plan resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in public relations, marketing, health administration, public health, social services, business, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of community relations, outreach, marketing, sales, public health, provider engagement, or managed care experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline staff across Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester with travel.
• Develop and execute community engagement strategies with providers, community orgs, faith-based groups, schools, advocacy groups and local leaders.
• Build, maintain and deepen strategic partnerships to support trust, visibility, education, growth and retention.
• Oversee outreach activities, events, presentations, sponsorship activations, and local engagement initiatives.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Provider Relations, Quality, Retention and other teams to align outreach with business priorities.
• Monitor community needs, market trends, competitor activity and local partnership opportunities to inform strategy and territory planning.
• Review outreach activity, event outcomes, partnership effectiveness, and productivity reports for improvement.
• Ensure staff are trained on products, compliance, talking points, outreach standards and escalation pathways.
• Represent the health plan at community meetings, health fairs, provider/community forums and stakeholder events.
