Job summary

Centene Corporation in the United States seeks a Manager of Community Relations to lead field-based outreach across Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester. This role directs frontline staff, develops community engagement strategies, and aligns activities with regulatory and organizational standards.

The position requires strong leadership, experience in building community partnerships, and regular travel to engage providers, schools, faith-based groups, and local stakeholders to improve access

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as public relations, marketing, health administration, public health, social services, business, communications, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in community relations, outreach, marketing, sales, public health, provider engagement, or managed care; Medicaid/Medicare experience preferred.
• Experience leading field-based teams or direct reports.
• Proven ability to build and sustain community partnerships with organizations and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, public speaking, and data/reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Community Relations staff with performance management, coaching, scheduling, development, and field execution.
• Develop and execute engagement strategies with community-based organizations, providers, faith groups, schools, and local leaders.
• Build partnerships to boost trust, visibility, education, growth, and retention.
• Oversee outreach activities, events, sponsorships, and local initiatives in assigned territories.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Provider Relations, Quality, Retention and other teams to align activities with priorities.
• Monitor market needs, trends, and partnerships to inform strategy and territory planning.
• Review activity outcomes and reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure staff are trained on products, compliance, talking points, outreach standards, and documentation.
