City and County of Honolulu is seeking a Community Relations Specialist II to plan and implement the division's community engagement programs, including outreach, public education, and liaison work with City and external agencies and community groups.

The role involves developing marketing strategies, supporting Adopt-A-Park and park clean-up events, and coordinating with staff across island communities. Must be able to work after hours and during special events.

Qualifikationen

• Citizen, national or eligible for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major work in business, public administration, social sciences or related field.
• Two years of responsible experience in community or public service.

Aufgaben

• Outreach to the public, schools and community groups to increase participation in engagement programs.
• Assist in planning and implementing the division's community engagement efforts and events.
• Conduct staff trainings, attend meetings, and travel island-wide for trainings and conferences.
• Prepare reports on program statistics and outcomes as needed.
