Job summary

Eccalon LLC is seeking a dynamic Communications Specialist to develop, write, edit, and manage communications across internal and external channels. You will shape organizational messaging and ensure clear, consistent communication to diverse audiences.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of communications experience, a strong writing background, and proficiency in AP style. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with a master’s preferred. This is a full-time, exempt role in Detroit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field; master's preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in communications or public relations.
• Must provide writing sample with application.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging content for press releases, newsletters, social media, speeches, and website copy; maintain consistent messaging across channels.
• Develop and distribute memos, newsletters, presentations, and announcements to keep employees and stakeholders informed.
• Build relationships with media contacts; write press releases, advisories, fact sheets, and other materials; coordinate press conferences and media briefings as needed.
• Draft, write, edit, and proofread materials including articles, reports, talking points, and social media content; ensure clarity and brand alignment.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to gather information, obtain feedback, and support special projects.
