Qualifications

• Degree plus four years in content planning and dissemination for media, websites, or public speaking.
• Alternative: four years of content planning with education/experience meeting hours-based equivalence.
• Postgraduate coursework (24 semester hours) can substitute for one year of experience.
• Current state executive branch experience equivalent to 18 months as Information Specialist 2.

Responsibilities

• Manage the department's strategic communications plan.
• Develop social media strategies and content.
• Develop and deliver content to media and the public.
• Write, design, and edit press releases, manuals, toolkits, reports, etc.
• Use metrics to inform strategic recommendations.
