Job summary

BME Strategies is seeking a Senior Consultant, Strategic Communications Project Management to lead complex, multi-part public health engagements from a remote home-office in the U.S. The role requires moving between systems-level thinking and day-to-day execution, guiding strategy, and managing project teams to deliver actionable results.

The position emphasizes client relationships, risk management, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards in a fast-moving policy environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience including 4+ years in a consulting firm environment.
• Masters degree in Public Health, public policy, public administration, organizational leadership, or related field preferred.
• People management experience preferred.
• Minimum 4 years client-facing experience, including 2+ years in project leadership.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Role-specific required experience: leading complex multi-workstream projects.
• Role-specific preferred experience: public health systems knowledge and governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall strategy, planning, implementation, and coordination.
• Translate client goals into an integrated work plan with phases, deliverables, and measures.
• Direct and coordinate work of project team members and subject matter experts.
• Facilitate client meetings and decision-making sessions to turn input into direction.
• Manage review, QA, and approvals for deliverables and escalate decisions.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget, risks, and priorities; adjust as needed.
• Use feedback to refine strategy and support approaches throughout the engagement.
• Prepare concise executive briefings, recommendations, and progress reports.
• Integrate communications and engagement practices into ongoing initiatives.
