Job summary

Executive Director, Inc. (EDI) seeks a Communications and Marketing Manager for the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV) in Milwaukee.

The role leads marketing and communications efforts, aligning with the society’s mission and strategic plan, and collaborates with staff, volunteers, and committees to boost awareness, membership, and program engagement. The position is Exempt, full-time, based in Milwaukee with a requirement to work on-site two days per week, including

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editing skills across scientific and member audiences.
• Experience developing multi-channel marketing plans and campaigns.
• Ability to analyze performance data to improve engagement and recruitment.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate input from committees.
• Familiarity with email platforms, social tools, CMS, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and implement an annual marketing and communications plan aligned with ISEV’s mission and goals.
• Advise leadership on communications best practices and audience needs.
• Establish goals and measures for campaigns; review performance data and adjust strategies.
• Plan and manage an integrated communications calendar across email, social media, website, and other channels.
• Manage ISEV’s social media channels and evaluate campaigns throughout the year.
• Administer website updates; monitor analytics and user experience; recommend improvements.
• Create and manage email campaigns with oversight from leadership; monitor results.
• Maintain editorial, graphic, accessibility, and branding standards across communications.
• Stay current with tools and trends; recommend improvements aligned with goals.
• Prepare project proposals and budgets with leadership; manage approved projects.
• Assist with approvals and manage projects within budget.
• Serve as staff liaison to committees and networks, including meeting materials and minutes.
• Develop and implement standards for working groups with other staff.
• Respond to inquiries about programs and activities; monitor information channels.
• Provide backup for leadership when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
