Job summary

Louisiana State University Eunice (LSU Eunice) seeks a creative Assistant Director of Strategic Communications to drive university-wide marketing and public relations initiatives. You will craft compelling content across digital and print media, coordinate with faculty and external partners, and lead multimedia projects that reinforce LSU Eunice's brand and public image.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite handling various software tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Photography, videography, lighting and audio equipment.

Responsibilities

• Marketing & Branding Strategy: Assist in the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications plans to support the university's brand and outreach efforts.
• Content Creation & Editing: Write, edit and produce content in digital and print formats, including press releases, news articles, newsletters, and social media posts.
• Project & Campaign Management: Plan and execute marketing campaigns; support athletic marketing and outreach initiatives.
• Multimedia Production: Develop engaging multimedia content for digital advertising, television, web, and social media; produce recruitment and marketing videos; operate video, audio, and lighting equipment.
• General Communications support: Draft press releases and manage the university's CMS and social media accounts.
