Job summary

T’ruah is seeking a full-time Communications Manager to implement our communications strategy and support rabbis and cantors in reaching millions. The role collaborates with program, development, and executive staff to ensure clear, timely messaging and broad reach across emails, social media, and the website.

Qualifications

• Great writing and editing experience in professional communications.
• Excellent attention to detail with copy editing skills.
• Ability to connect daily tasks to larger organizational goals.
• Clear, respectful communication and feedback delivery.
• Commitment to equity and racial justice in communications.
• Understanding of T’ruah’s mission and priorities; able to represent them.
• Basic Hebrew and/or background in Jewish texts is helpful for editing phrases.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the organization’s communications strategy.
• Project-manage the editorial calendar and field requests from multiple teams.
• Write about program work for varied audiences with accuracy and impact.
• Draft mass emails, alerts, talking points, and social content; track metrics.
• Use digital media to expand reach; monitor social channels and respond to comments.
• Keep truah.org updated; coordinate with web developers on WordPress issues.
• Maintain marketing collateral and media archives.
• Advise the Chief Communications Officer on strengthening communications.
