Job summary

S&B is seeking a Communications Specialist to develop proactive internal and external communications strategies, write and edit materials, and distribute across channels, supporting PR efforts and social media. The role also plans quarterly employee events and town halls, coordinating across teams and measuring engagement.

The position requires a four-year degree and 3–5+ years of communications experience, with strong AP style proofreading, copywriting, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year degree or equivalent, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in communications across marketing communications, public relations or corporate communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communications, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills. Strong storytelling mindset that can translate messaging for diverse audiences.
• Must be well versed in Associated Press style and writing.
• Collaborative, able to work across levels and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Canva a plus, and familiar with internal platforms like Teams Live and Portal CMS.

Responsibilities

• Create written content including press releases, company announcements, internal newsletters, Insights blog posts, portal news stories and LinkedIn content.
• Conduct interviews and research to translate ideas into Company communications topics.
• Coordinate and produce employee town halls and leadership events, leading cross-functional projects across S&B offices.
• Ensure accuracy of communications and alignment with company strategies.
• Develop and implement communications strategies to support company objectives.
• Manage intranet content and MyS&B portal updates; provide best practices to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor analytics and report on campaign successes and failures.
• Publish weekly content for S&B TV to engage employees and raise awareness.
• Support video communications strategy for internal and external communications.
