Benesch is seeking a Communications Director to shape our company-wide communications strategy and strengthen connections with employees, clients, and communities. The role leads a communications team, partners with technical experts, and guides messaging across internal and external channels.

The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller who translates complex topics into clear communications, advising executive leadership and aligning programs with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications or related field.
• Experience developing integrated communications strategies for internal and external audiences.
• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling and content development skills.
• Experience advising executive leadership on strategic communications.
• Experience leading communications teams and coordinating external partners.
• Strong understanding of brand strategy and reputation management.
• Experience managing corporate websites, digital channels, and social media.
• Developed thought leadership content to position industry experts.
• Knowledge of internal communications and employee initiatives.
• Media relations experience and relationships with industry outlets.
• Data-driven with analytics to improve programs.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• CPSM certification preferred.

Responsibilities
