Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Communications Director to lead our company-wide communications strategy and strengthen connections with employees, clients, industry partners, and communities.

This senior role shapes Benesch’s voice across internal and external communications, digital channels, and thought leadership, partnering with technical experts and business leaders to tell compelling stories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing communications.
• Experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies across internal and external audiences.
• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and content development skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an integrated, company-wide communications strategy aligned with business objectives, priorities, and brand.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen reputation and market position within the AEC industry.
• Serve as strategic communications advisor to executive leadership and leaders across the organization.
• Lead stewardship of the Benesch brand and ensure consistent voice and messaging across channels.
• Lead website, digital channels, and social media strategy and content.
• Measure effectiveness using analytics and adjust programs accordingly.
• Mentor communications team and coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
