Job summary

2ndWave LLC is seeking a Communications Strategist and Organizational Change Management (OCM) Journeyman to lead strategic communications and change initiatives for a federal contract in the Washington, DC metro area. The role focuses on guiding organizational transitions through planning, messaging, and execution with stakeholder engagement across VER, FOD, USCIS, and DHS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience developing and executing communication strategies for federal programs.
• Prosci Change Management Certification or similar certification (advanced degree may be considered as alternative).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies with clearly defined audiences, messages, and channels for DHS/USCIS priorities.
• Ensure communications adhere to Plain Language and Section 508 standards.
• Advise PMs and POs on messaging, channels, and sequencing of outreach.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, awareness campaigns, and training sessions.
• Leverage Prosci, Lean-Agile, and SAFe for change adoption and alignment with program objectives.
