Job summary

Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York seeks a Coordinator, Communications to support the BD Communications team in raising the Firm’s visibility and that of its lawyers. You will work on profile-raising initiatives, research directories, and draft submissions.

The role calls for 1+ year of communications or legal-related experience, strong writing and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of communications, marketing or legal-related experience.
• Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.
• Strong knowledge of business and legal vocabulary.
• Ability to understand deal descriptions and litigation terminology.
• Experience with research and writing for submissions or awards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate legal directory research and data collection.
• Schedule attorney interviews with directories' personnel.
• Tabulate directory results and provide year-to-year analysis.
• Research opportunities for awards and rankings.
• Maintain deadlines calendar and monitor media coverage.
• Draft award nominations, website announcements and related text.
• Assist with firm-wide marketing and business development initiatives.
