Cooley LLP is seeking a Communications Assistant to join the Communications team in a hybrid role based in New York. You will support media relations, external communications and reputation-building efforts by identifying news involving the firm, its clients and lawyers, and by preparing materials for outreach and reports.

Working closely with the external communications team, you will help maintain media lists, draft and edit content, coordinate interviews and tracking tools, and contribute to

Qualifications

• After orientation at Cooley LLP, proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications.
• Available to work overtime, as required.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field.

Responsabilités

• Support external communications in media relations and reputation-building initiatives.
• Monitor news and media coverage involving Cooley and its lawyers.
• Prepare and distribute regular media coverage reports.
• Maintain media lists and journalist information.
• Assist with drafting, editing and posting external communications content.
