Job summary

This Commodity Manager role drives enterprise-wide commodity strategies for direct materials and oversees supplier negotiations and sourcing projects with autonomy, reporting to Strategic Sourcing.

Hybrid work in Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH. You will influence partners, lead supplier negotiations, manage supplier performance, and support NPI and lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
• 8+ years related experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations.
• Experience building commodity strategies end-to-end.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Experience in industrial automation market segment.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity strategies aligned with ISC priorities.
• Lead sourcing events, supplier negotiations, and contracting.
• Manage supplier performance and continuous improvement.
• Support NPI and lifecycle management with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor market conditions, cost drivers, and risks.
• Lead multi-region sourcing strategies with enterprise impact.
• Guide cost modeling and transparency.
• Influence executives on trade-offs between cost, risk, and speed.
• Develop supply risk mitigation strategies including dual sourcing.
• Build a robust global supply base and supplier partnerships.
