Job summary

VEIR, based in Woburn, MA, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join System Integration & Heat Transfer. You will own mechanical, thermal, and structural design for superconducting systems from concept through production, guiding key assemblies and testing.

You will mentor junior engineers, review drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy cryogenic thermal management solutions in fast-paced data-center environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience including thermal, structural, and FEA
• End-to-end product development from concept to production
• Experience creating engineering drawings for external fabrication

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test key assemblies for superconducting systems
• Lead mechanical analyses and ensure design meets thermal and structural requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and review drawings and submittals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system deployment and cryogenic thermal management
