Job summary

Firefly Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Commodity Manager for Avionics and EEE Parts to define and drive the category strategy across two key commodities.

You will study market trends, select suppliers, and align with Planning, Finance, Engineering, and Quality to ensure cost-effective, reliable supply for space programs. The role requires 10+ years in procurement, aerospace experience, strong negotiation and leadership, and travel 25-50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, including avionics/EEE parts in aerospace or regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of Avionics and EEE Parts procurement.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and AS9100.
• Proven track record of cost, quality, delivery improvements with suppliers.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Strong analytical and risk modeling capabilities.
• Experience sourcing for development and production.
• Great communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel 25%–50%.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the commodity strategy for Avionics and EEE Parts.
• Lead supplier evaluation and development across global bases.
• Negotiate long-term price agreements and terms.
• Coordinate RFx, PRs, and POs with Planning and Procurement.
• Mentor team and manage projects across programs.
