Job summary

USLI is seeking an experienced underwriter to evaluate submissions, quote requests and endorsements while building strong customer relationships. You will work with cross-functional teams across Underwriting, Business Development, Claims and IT to deliver high-quality service and innovative solutions.

The role values a proactive, analytical mindset and a collaborative approach in a fast-paced insurance environment. Travel may be required to meet clients and sustain relationships.

Qualifications

Underwriter role requiring 3+ years in Commercial Property & Casualty, Personal or Management and Professional Liability.
Insurance courses (CPCU, RPLU) are a plus.
Willingness to travel as needed to maintain customer interactions.
Experience in other insurance roles (sales, claims, agent/broker) or legal services is a plus.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and underwrite submissions with precision per guidelines and authority.
Address quotes, re-quotes and endorsements with a customer-first mindset.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive growth.
Collaborate with Underwriting, Business Development, Claims, IT and related teams.
Research market trends and support product development efforts.
