Job summary

WesBanco Bank Inc. in Uniontown, Ohio seeks a senior credit administrator responsible for managing a portfolio of troubled and distressed commercial and CRE credits, and for developing strategies to minimize potential losses.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of commercial credit underwriting, workout practices, and the ability to negotiate exit or remediation strategies with borrowers. You will collaborate with bank management, lending staff, and legal counsel to protect the bank’s interests

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Portfolio Management or Loan Review.
• Prior commercial workout experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews loan files upon assignment to understand the transaction and circumstances.
• Takes appropriate action to enforce the bank's rights or position with respect to the loan and collateral.
• Discusses issues with supervisor, other management personnel, and/or legal counsel to develop strategies and solutions.
• Documents loan files with respect to actions taken and pertaining to each assigned account.
• Works with third parties when appropriate to dispose of collateral.
• Interacts with and directs the activities of commercial banking officers on accounts on a shared basis.
• Reviews, analyzes and interprets financial statements to assess borrower strength.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations relating to collections and workouts.
