Job summary

WesBanco Bank Inc. is seeking a Credit Administration professional to manage distressed commercial and CRE credits, developing strategies to minimize losses and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role involves reviewing loan files, enforcing bank rights, negotiating remediation strategies with borrowers, and coordinating with management, lenders, and legal counsel to protect the bank's interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years of related experience or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Portfolio Management or Loan Review is preferred.
• Prior commercial workout experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and workout practices.
• Ability to negotiate exit or remediation strategies with borrowers.

Responsibilities

• Review loan files to understand transaction and circumstances.
• Enforce the bank's rights or position with respect to the loan and collateral.
• Discuss issues with supervisor, management, and/or legal counsel to develop strategies.
• Document loan files with respect to actions taken and pertaining to each assigned account.
• Work with third parties to dispose of collateral.
• Direct activities of commercial banking officers on shared accounts.
• Review and interpret financial statements, cash flow analyses to assess borrower strength.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, regulators, or business community.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop and implement credit administration strategies to minimize losses.
• Collaborate with management and legal counsel to ensure compliance with policy and laws.
