Fifth Third Bank in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a Commercial Loan Closing Specialist responsible for the due diligence, review and completion of all loan documentation and closing processes. You will coordinate with sales, credit, title companies, attorneys and vendors to meet the borrower’s closing date.

You will analyze loan approvals, confirm lending authority, obtain required documents, ensure regulatory compliance and produce accurate settlement statements while maintaining risk

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred.
• 2 years experience with a focus on due diligence, loan documentation, or related work experience. Commercial loan experience preferred.
• Strong time management and organizational skills evidenced in Previous assignments.
• Demonstrates an understanding of applicable bank policies and procedures as they pertain to the satisfaction of loan closing conditions as well as vendor documents and services.
• Strong knowledge of most common vendor documents title work, appraisals, flood determinations, lien searches.
• Strong knowledge of loan documents and requirements.
• Thorough understanding of all business banking and commercial lending credit policy/Guidelines.
• Strong personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Word, and email.

Responsabilités

• Receives, reviews and analyzes draft and final credit approval/credit memo and determines due diligence requirements.
• Analyzes and interprets the loan approval to determine borrower, collateral, guarantor and loan requirements.
• Controls the evidence of lending authority obtained on the credit approval.
• Manages workload by monitoring newly received loans and tracking work in process.
• Coordinates loan documentation with internal and external counsel to ensure timely closing.
