Job summary

First US Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to develop and manage a portfolio of C&I and CRE clients, including equipment loans, lines of credit, real estate‑secured loans, deposits, and cash management services.

You will analyze credit requests, structure proposals, advise on capital structure and cash management solutions, oversee loan packages and closings, and work with internal teams to maximize relationship profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial lending or a similar role.
• Strong background in commercial risk analysis, underwriting, loan structure, and regulatory requirements.
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business computer systems.
• Professional demeanor with superior sales acumen and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates relationships with key business contacts to identify needs and develop opportunities.
• Participates in community events and promotes the bank brand to generate relationships.
• Plans and documents targeted business development calls and maintains CRM data and pipelines.
• Engages with customers to enhance trusted advisor relationships and cross-sell other products.
• Facilitates credit requests and coordinates internal teams for the credit process.
• Meets goals for loan production, portfolio growth, deposits, and cash management revenue.
• Maintains professionalism and provides superior service to all customers.
• Completes required compliance training including BSA/AML.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
