Job summary

First Independence Bank seeks a Commercial Loan Officer in the Commercial Lending department to originate and analyze loans for businesses and individuals. The role involves serving as a trusted financial advisor, promoting bank products, and maintaining client relationships within the community.

You will work under the Chief Lending Officer, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while actively networking in local business circles to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent banking experience.
• Minimum 2 years lending experience.
• Knowledge of banking operations and financial analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loan Origination and Portfolio Management: develop and manage relationships, interview applicants, analyze documents, structure loan requests, prepare presentations, monitor portfolio, and conduct annual reviews.
• Customer Service and Business Development: serve as primary contact, cross-sell products, participate in community events, and pursue new clients.
• Compliance and Risk Management: ensure lending activities comply with regulations and internal policies; participate in audits and stay updated on lending trends.
• Additional Responsibilities: assist with special projects and professional development; support bank mission and community focus.
