Jonus Group in Metuchen, NJ is seeking a dedicated Marketing Specialist to join our independent retail commercial insurance agency. This full-time, in-office role focuses on marketing, quoting small to large new business and remarketing renewals, leveraging carrier rating systems with hands-on training provided.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in insurance marketing, holds an active Property & Casualty license, and excels in communication, teamwork, and learning new quoting platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a marketing role within the insurance industry.
• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with quoting platforms and a solid understanding of insurance coverages is highly desirable.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and operate insurance carrier systems.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, including attending monthly meetings.
• Utilize insurance carrier portals to rate accounts and submit quotes for small, middle, and large-sized accounts.
• Submit submissions directly to carriers, including wholesalers, for harder-to-place business.
• Log activities for all accounts and follow up as necessary.
• Collaborate with producers and account managers to collect and provide additional underwriting data to insurance companies.
• Develop knowledge of carrier appetites and explore new markets when applicable.
• Manage employee logins for carrier portals as the primary marketing contact.
