Job summary

CBIZ in Kansas City is seeking an insurance account manager to build and maintain relationships with mid-to-large commercial clients across a national independent agency platform. You will coordinate service activities and internal resources to deliver a seamless client experience.

You will lead renewal and marketing strategies for multi-line programs, oversee onboarding, perform risk and coverage analyses, negotiate with national carriers, and advise executives on market conditions and emerging

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 6 years of experience managing multiple clients in insurance
• Must maintain current licenses and certifications
• Technical knowledge relative to industry and contract provisions, renewal and claims processing
• Experience with alternative funding arrangements
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Advanced knowledge of state and federal legislation

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with mid-to-large, complex commercial clients.
• Serve as the primary client contact and coordinate internal resources to deliver a seamless experience.
• Develop understanding of client industry, risk profile, operations, and strategic objectives to tailor solutions.
• Lead renewal and marketing strategies for multi-line programs.
• Manage new business onboarding and implementation with accurate setup.
• Conduct coverage, exposure, and program analyses to provide risk financing solutions.
• Lead marketing with national and regional carriers to optimize outcomes.
• Evaluate marketing results and provide client-focused recommendations.
• Act as trusted advisor to CFOs, Risk Managers, and Executives.
• Advise on market conditions and emerging risks; identify gaps in coverage.
• Participate in RFPs and new business development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Maintain documentation in agency systems and leverage technology.
• Support cross-office collaboration for a national client experience.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
