Job summary

ServisFirst Bank in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Commercial Banking Officer to develop new business, underwrite and close commercial loans, and service an existing portfolio.

The Officer represents the Bank in the local community through active involvement and marketing of all Bank products and services. You will evaluate client needs, cross-sell products, and manage client relationships to meet growth goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum of three (3) years banking or financial services experience required.
• Experience working directly with customers at all levels, from support staff to business owners and managers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, as demonstrated by previous experience interacting with decision makers and influencers.
• Ability to prepare/coordinate proposals, review proposals for accuracy and work productively through the underwriting process.
• Experience working independently and ability to stay organized and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, underwriting, structuring and the closing of commercial loans and servicing of an existing portfolio.
• Represent the Bank in the local community through active participation in community affairs and marketing of all Bank products and services.
• Evaluate client needs and offer appropriate financial products and loans; promote cross-selling.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding accounts within 24 hours and provide ongoing relationship servicing.
• Coordinate with back-office personnel to resolve credit problems and ensure proper loan documentation and timely funding.
