Job summary

Personnel Resources, Inc. is seeking a motivated Collections Specialist to join our fast-paced Collections Division. The role manages a portfolio of delinquent accounts, communicates with debtors and clients, and negotiates payment arrangements.

Responsibilities include contacting debtors, following up to move accounts toward resolution, handling calls and emails, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, negotiation, and Excel skills, with attention

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable communicating respectfully and assertively with debtors.
• Basic reading and math skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Windows, and Outlook.
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Previous collections, medical billing, A/R, or sales experience preferred.
• Familiarity with civil litigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a large portfolio of accounts.
• Contact debtors to collect outstanding balances and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Follow up consistently to move accounts toward resolution.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and client inquiries.
• Maintain accurate account records and documentation.
• Multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Meet monthly collection and performance goals.
