Job summary

Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team in Brandon, MS. You’ll contact customers about past-due balances, negotiate payment plans, and maintain accurate account records to reduce delinquencies with professional service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and strong verbal and written communication skills, plus experience in collections or AR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous collections, customer service, or accounts receivable experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office or account management systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines and performance goals.
• Professional, dependable, and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone, email, and other communication methods regarding past-due accounts.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and arrange payment plans when appropriate.
• Review customer accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve billing or payment issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date collection notes and account records.
• Communicate professionally with customers to secure payments and resolve disputes.
• Meet established collection goals and performance expectations.
• Work closely with other departments to resolve account concerns.
• Follow company policies and applicable laws regarding collection practices.
