Qualifications

• 1-3 years in collections, AR, or related financial role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and tactfully.
• Proficiency with accounting software, CRM systems, and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with FDCPA or related regulations preferred.
• Customer-focused with problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts independently.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to collect overdue payments via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Review accounts to identify delinquent balances and prioritize collection efforts.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements per company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes.
• Monitor aging reports and escalate high-risk accounts.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local collection laws.
• Meet or exceed individual and team collection targets.
