Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a Solution Architect in New Jersey to shape enterprise technology. You will drive cloud adoption, design scalable, secure applications, and mentor cross-functional teams to align with business strategy.

In this leadership role you’ll partner with Enterprise Architecture, oversee technical reviews, and guide SAFe-driven agile teams through modernization initiatives. Experience with .NET, major databases, and high-volume environments is valued.

Qualifications

7+ years in application development with 3+ years in architecture, including high-volume environments.
Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor developers.
Experience with .NET technologies and major relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).

Responsibilities

Design scalable, secure, and reusable application solutions and publish architecture artifacts.
Lead Cloud migration initiatives and evaluate native cloud services.
Mentor teams and evangelize enterprise architecture practices.
Partner with Enterprise Architecture to define best practices and future system design.
Support Agile teams using SAFe and drive modernization efforts.
Assess technical competencies of development teams and conduct reviews.
