Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks a Solutions Architect to design and guide secure enterprise solutions across Windows, Azure, and AWS, spanning on-premises and cloud environments. You will translate business and technical requirements into cost-conscious architecture and collaborate with IT, DevOps, and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes cybersecurity experience, regulatory compliance, and the ability to present secure options to stakeholders while driving secure development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited college or university
• 4+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering, or security architecture
• 3+ years designing enterprise, cloud, or engineering system security architecture
• Strong technical background across identity, networking, cloud platforms, endpoint security, and system architecture
• Practical experience with NIST SP 800-171, DFARS 7012, ISO 27001, and regulated-data environments
• Ability to translate requirements into clear architecture and communicate the rationale behind decisions
• Proven ability to collaborate across IT, engineering, manufacturing, DevOps, GTC, and Legal
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Design secure architectures across Azure/GCC-H, AWS, SaaS platforms, hybrid environments
• Develop architectural patterns for identity & access management, Zero Trust segmentation, endpoint protection, logging/monitoring, encryption/KMS, secure data flows
• Conduct risk-based architectural analysis and present balanced security options to stakeholders
• Review new systems, applications, integrations, and cloud services to ensure secure design and fit
• Partner with IT and Infrastructure, DevOps, Software Engineering, and Mission teams to embed security early in system design
• Communicate architectural decisions clearly and build consensus across diverse teams
